Meekka
A passionate young woman for languages & nostalgia
Reiner
A Frenchman studying English is just himself.
This experimental film, blends, vintage telecommunications, and motion picture film to explore the theme of nostalgia. Meekka, a young woman, captivated by foreign languages, seeks to connect with her cultural roots through music, language, and technology. She meets Reiner, a charming Frenchman, but miscommunication spirals into chaos when he moves to Quebec. As winter descends, stunning, aerial views of Quebec enhances the narrative, and reality is served COLD as she experiences an emotional breakdown. To restore herself, Meekka embarks on a quest for inner peace, finding solace not only in a rare look in Saint-Anne Beaupré Basilica, but also in nature that restores her sense of self.
